Meet Pavel
Guitar and Piano Instructor
Pavel’s passion for music was sparked at the age of 11 when he first picked up the guitar, inspired by the rhythms of funk and rock. Since beginning his musical journey in 2006 as a solo guitarist and band leader, Pavel has composed over 200 songs and is now preparing to release his album Songs about the Beautiful as an independent artist.
Pavel’s academic path led him to earn a degree in the history of world culture from Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University. During his time there, he balanced performing with his own cover band in Novosibirsk with his growing passion for teaching music.
In 2018, Pavel graduated from the Jazz and Pop department of Novosibirsk State Music College named after A. F. Murov, where he studied under the esteemed M.E. Panarin, a member of the world-renowned ensemble "Siberian Dixieland." Pavel also honed his skills in jazz through the Howard Roberts method. As a guitarist, he had the unique opportunity to collaborate with the symphony orchestra of Globus Youth Theatre, showcasing his versatility. His participation in the VII International Jazz Day in St. Petersburg that same year further fueled his motivation, driving him to excel in his studies and performance.
During his college years, Pavel rediscovered the piano, an instrument that soon became integral to his musical expression. His final exam featured a performance of the second movement of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Italian Concerto, highlighting his proficiency in both guitar and piano. For Pavel, piano lessons represent the best way to refine skills across any musical discipline.
In 2022, Pavel expanded his teaching career internationally, working with both young musicians and adults eager to learn the fundamentals of performance. This journey, bridging genres from pop to classical, allows him to avoid clichés and bring a fresh perspective to both his teaching and creative work. Pavel believes that true understanding in music comes from experience and practice, which he instills in his students.
Pavel is guided by the wisdom of Mick Goodrick, author of The Advancing Guitarist: “Relax into your own learning process, and let the material do to you what it needs. It and you both need time to grow.” For Pavel, the essence of music education lies in a mutually enriching dialogue between teacher and student, where both grow and learn together.
